Dr. Rami Nashashibi
Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN)
Rami Nashashibi has served as the Executive Director of the Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN) since its incorporation as a nonprofit in 1997. He has a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Chicago and is a Visiting Professor of Sociology of Religion & Muslim Studies at the Chicago Theological Seminary. Nashashibi has worked with several leading scholars in the area of globalization, African American studies and urban sociology. A Chicago social justice activist, Nashashibi was announced on Oct. 11 as a recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Foundation Genius Award. The foundation honored Nashashibi for “confronting the challenges of poverty and disinvestment in urban communities through a Muslim-led civic engagement effort that bridges race, class and religion.”

Dr. Mohayya Khilfeh, MD, M.P.H., FAAP
Advocate Children’s Medical Group
Mohayya H. Khilfeh is currently a Pediatrician with Advocate Medical Group, South Holland Center, and at Advocate South Suburban hospital in Hazel Crest, IL. Khilfeh graduated from Baghdad Medical School, and earned a Diploma in Child Health from Glasgow, Britain. She also earned a Master’s in Public Health from UIC. She completed her Residency in Pediatrics at Rush Hospital in Chicago and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Khilfeh worked in Augusta Victoria hospital in Jerusalem and had a private practice in Nablus for several years. In 1990 Khilfeh came back to Chicago, serving as clinical Director for Humana Health Center at River Oaks in Calumet City, and Chair of Pediatrics at Ingalls hospital in Harvey, IL. She served on the Board of Trustees of AnNajah University in Nablus until 2000. She is active with NAAMA, working as the Chair of the Palestine Liaison committee. Khilfeh is also a member of several professional organizations and serves on the Board of The Jerusalem Fund, and The committee of the Palestine Diabetes Institute.

Suzanne R. Othman
Dentons US LLP
Suzanne R. Othman is a member of Dentons’ Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation practice in Chicago. Suzanne graduated from the ABA approved, Paralegal Studies Program at William Rainey Harper College. She successfully completed coursework on “Estate Planning in Depth,” at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and “Drafting Revocable Living Trusts & Practice Development Strategies,” through Wealth Counsel in San Diego, California. She recently earned Illinois Accredited Paralegal (ILAP) Credentials through the Illinois Paralegal Association. Suzanne is instrumental in her role as Executive Board Member and Director of Programs with the Arab-American Business & Professional Association, since 2005.

Michael D. Haddad
Midland Publications, Inc.
Michael Haddad graduated from DePaul University in 1989. He worked in a family owned advertising firm Central Newspaper, Inc. Chicago for 16 years where he served as vice president of sales and helped run the day to day operations.
In 2006 he started Midland Publications, Inc. Naperville, an internet advertising and marketing firm. Along with his brother he assisted in Central Newspapers and Midland Publications complete transformation from print advertising to a website and digital publication platform. Michael is currently a proud member of ABPA, where he served on its board of directors for 10 years.

Feras Nabulsi earned his bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and presently is nearing completion of his Masters of Science in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University. His education paired with his hard-working ethic enable Feras to excel throughout his career, including in his current role for top global consulting firm Accenture. Feras proudly served The Arab-American Business & Professional Association as their Web and Social Media Coordinator. He’s taken communication between ABPA and its members to a new level by helping the organization define its digital presence.
